For the last nine consecutive years - 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 - Åkestam Holst has been voted one of Sweden’s best advertising agencies in a survey by research firm Regi and business daily Dagens Industri. On the international scene we have been awarded both in Cannes Lions (Gold and Bronze in 2006, Gold in 2008, Gold in 2009) and Eurobest (best Swedish agency in 2004 and 2008). From 2004 to 2006 we were the global lead agency for Puma Football leading up to the World Cup in Germany. Since then, a long list of domestic clients, big and small, have added their names to our roster and entrusted us with creating their advertising.
How is it possible for a relatively small ad agency like us be esteemed by clients, creatively respected within the international industry and chosen as a partner by a fast growing global brand all at once?
We believe it all comes down to a few simple things. We are uncomplicated. We keep our promises. We are blatantly driven by results and love measuring the effects of our work. We have since long abandoned the artificial and old-fashioned division between traditional and digital or between brand building and purchase-promoting advertising. Many agencies talk about ”integrated communications” and set up international consulting houses with fancy names. We talk less, but do more. From day one we have been working media-neutrally. We mix ad people with event experts, spice it up with web creatives and graphical designers, get our clients involved in the teams and listen carefully with our ears firmly planted to the heart of the consumer.
